How long does your band play for if we hire you?
We play 3 – 50 minute sets with 2 – 45 minute breaks.
Can you play music during your break?
We recommend that the bride and groom bring an ipod with two playlists of their favorite music that they would like to hear during our breaks. The playlist should have at least 15 songs so it doesn’t fall short of our break. We have a cable that will attach your ipod to our PA system so that we can keep the party going during our breaks.
Can you play our first dance?
The bride and groom are more than welcome to select a song from our songlist that we will play for the first dance. If you have a song that you really want the band to play for your first dance that is not on our songlist, there will be an additional charge for the rehearsal time to learn the song.
Can we use your PA system for our Speeches?
Absolutely.
Can we customize your setlist to only play the songs we like from your songlist?
Yes, but I would strongly recommend that you leave us with the song selection for the most part. We have been entertaining parties and weddings for the better part of seven years, so we have a pretty good idea of what people like to hear and what makes people dance. We have been tailoring our setlist constantly to create the ultimate party that builds momentum throughout the evening. We also have a great ability to read the crowd and change the setlist accordingly.
If there are ever some songs that are like nails on a chalk board to you, we would happily refrain from torturing you and omit the specific songs.
Do we have to supply dinner and drinks for your performance?
That would be greatly appreciated but not mandatory.
How do we confirm your band to play at our function?
I will send over a contract that indicates the specifics of the event; once signed and a deposit of 15% has been received, I will send back the confirmation as a receipt.
How long do you require to set up your equipment?
In a perfect world we would like 2 hours in the space before guests arrive. We have been known to set up much faster than that, but 2 hours is the ideal time.
What type of power does your band require?
2 separate 15 amp plug sockets that are not on the same circuit.
If want to hire you but our wedding is in a different city or town (ie. Whistler/Sunshine Coast/etc..), what expenses do we have to cover?
The Young Executives require three hotel rooms, gas expenses, food expense, and other travel costs (ferry).
